On the coast in Oregon

If your traveling in Oregon along the coast or on Rte 5 be sure to stop in Newport. There is an Outdoor Resort and another 8 site park a mile North, both overlooking the Pacific. Go into town and eat at Sharkeys. If they catch it that day they open for dinner and if nothing caught they may be closed. The best clam chowder in the USA is sold by a street vendor during daylight hours on the pier.
