Default Vibration and synthetic oil in generator

My generator causes a considerable amount of vibration and I want to isolate it better to cut it down. What have other owners done in this department to fix this? I was also curious to know if I can change over to synthetic oil in the generator since my maintenance interval is coming due?

if you have vibration you made need new motor mounts and a tune up. I use synthetic in my engine and regular rotella in the genset and change it once a year. i run it everytime we are driving and don't know it's even on as it is so quiet and vibration free

Not sure what generator you have or where its mounted. All of my front mounted gensets have been on airbags and the vibration was minimal. Now if your hard rubber mounted like a HD Sportster, it could be you need new rubber mounts as Larry pointed out.

Hopefully some others might shed additional light.

I suppose you have already checked the pressure in the airbags for the generator. I know mine transmits more vibration when the bags go flat against what I think are internal rubber cushions.
