where is the VIN number on the coach?

hi, i just got a 1990 newell. i have the vin number from the title, but where is the vin number on the coach? i have to have it inspected to get the title done and they want to see the vin on the coach. help!

The VIN should be on a metal plate on the drivers side wall just about a foot from the carpeted panel under the dash. The VIN will be the next to the bottom line.

Thanks for the info. The coach had been recarpeted and when they covered the vin sticker by the front seat they took it off (it is just a piece of paper) and put it in the owners manual. i discovered it by mistake. took some talking to get the local dmv to use it as the vin sticker since it was a piece of paper in a book, but they finally did. there is supposed to be a metal plate in the engine compartment on the front firewall on the passenger side but it wasnt there either. i called newell and they are engraving me a new vin plate so i will have a better one.
