White Smoke After Coolant Change
After a coolant change I started up, let it run to warm up, then started to drive. I noticed the engine burped white smoke for a few seconds then seemed to run fine but now has some light blue smoke.

Unburnt fuel can do that.

If its a higher mileage engine worn valve guides or valve seals can cause that.

Things like a loose turbo hose clamp will cause it too.

With my 6V92T I've found the following: white smoke=unburned fuel, blue smoke=burning engine oil, black smoke=too much fuel being burned. I've been told that white smoke can also be coolant steam and I would guess the odor would be different. My white smoke has a definite diesel odor similar to mosquito foggers. No idea what coolant in exhaust smells like and I hope I never have to.
