window locks best brands/solutions
ok my windows are those types that slide lock in place and I want to install window locks. What are your thoughts and recommendations on window lock brand/types, screws, or what have you installed.

If I were to question the locks on ours I would simply use a wooden dowel, just like my Grandparents did years ago. KISS still works!

Steve, exactly. Another slick little device is those little aluminum twists locks for sliding windows. I used these in homes and in several coaches including Newell's. The little screw heads could leave a slight mar where the screw hits, on mine it was never really noticeable and it will be in a spot right near the window frame.
Here is a sample photo of what they look like.

Steve, you're probably right. I could maybe see the advantage if wanting it to be adjustable for opening the window part way, but the little guys I was showing is good for this as well. I guess an advantage of your stick will be after they eventually take our guns, this may be one of our new weapons of choice.

$20.00 isn't much for a little piece of mind for us ladies. I know however if someone wants to get in they will. But it also helps keep the honest, honest.

Something to consider is this, Locks keep honest people honest but you can't stop a thief with a brick or a tire tool. I don't lock my compartments, I figure it is cheaper to replace the goods then it is to repair the busted compartment doors.

Jeff you're right about the brick or tire tool. But I still lock my compartments because why make it easy for the thieves if we don't have too?

If the stick doesn't keep them out you can use it as a weapon. Example: beat them with it.

You could always get an alarm system that says in an Arnold voice " step away from the coach". Haha
