Default Check Eninge Light

We are on are way from Wisconsin to Arizona when the check engine light came on for a few moments and then went out. I checked my gauges and all temps and pressures were in range. Now, today again the check engine light came on and went on and off for 20 minutes. Again all temps and pressures were reading normal. The light then went out and stayed out for the last 200 miles. Any suggestions as to what I'm looking at here. When I start the engine it goes through the test sequence and goes off as it should. What should I be looking for? Thanks in advance Phil

If it's like a Ford it should store the codes. You will need to have a DD service center ( or good diesel shop) run a diagnostic on it. May be as simple as a loose connection. But that will give a hint at what connection to start at.

Yes, coolant level was good as well as engine temp. Thanks for the responses.
