Hi all,

It is still amazing to Darlene and I how many dear friends we have made as a result of having a 38' Newell in our driveway. We had a new Newell owner stay with us this last week (he will post soon i beleive) as he looked his new coach over prior to buying and I think he was a little surprised at how we have a kinship amongst each other. Russ is a great fellow and new friend and you will love his coach and him.

As for the many of you that we have met, talked to, traveled with, stayed with and exchanged emails, texts, phone calls with, we wish you a Happy Easter. We value our friendships with you and appreciate the blessing of having you in our lives.

Please come visit us in Mesa.

Regards,

Tom and Darlene

One of my favorite things is getting an unexpected phone call from Tom just to say "Hi!"....of course the conversations last 30 minutes, or more each time....who says guys don't like to talk....haha! Called David Zonker last week just to say "Hi!" and catch up. Even thought they have now sold their Newell, we still plan to get together with them in the near future. Steve Ward and I talk several times a month.....as with all the friends we have made through the purchase of our 1982 Newell, it's as if we have known them all our lives. Richard is always available to talk me through some problem I am having, or just talk. The thing we have found beyond having Newells in common, is that all of our Newell friends share the same values, which is really amazing.

No question that the friendships are as much a benefit of Newell ownership as the coach itself. Going through life without 'stuff' is doable. Going through life without friends would be tragic.

May each of you have a Happy Easter and a wonderful week.

Rhonda and I spent the Easter weekend in Kerrville TX for the Easter Hill Country Tour. It's a three day biking event. It will definitely go on our do again list. Great roads although somewhat hilly (Gee, who would have thought), and low traffic. The pic is of Rhonda getting her after ride reward.

The coach was a good home base for a wonderful weekend. Rhonda wrote about the trip in her blog wersquared.wordpress.com if you want the gory details.

A few months ago, there was a thread on another forum about the snobby behavior of Prevost/Newell owners. I had to chuckle as I reflected on what I consider to be just the opposite. I haven't met anyone on this forum that I consider highbrow at all. Quite the contrary, I agree with the congenial and helpful adjectives others have used.

We have some new owners, including the new owners of David and Denise's coach. I hope the newbies feel welcome.

Read Rhonda's blog about the Hill Country ride......don't you hate flat tires? I've only had one on our Cannondale...the rear, of course. Sorry to hear about the rain, but isn't it great that you are getting so much rain this year? How is it impacting the drought? it seems like it has rained nearly every weekend here for 6 weeks. Got rain this week on Monday for a change, though!

Clarke, last summer Lake Travis was 50' low (3rd lowest it has ever been). Today it is full.
