This guy parked at a Walmart here in Illinois, Glen Ellyn this past summer and the Walmart store had his RV towed. At first he thought his motorhome had been stolen. He had to pay $872.50 to get his RV back. He is warning RVers to park at Wal-Mart at your own risk. There was a sign posted so he should have known better but he claims he didn't see it. It sounds like it's a good idea to ASK first before one should try to park overnight at a Walmart.

I wonder was it a Newell Coach?

There are 2 books about overnight parking at Walmarts. 1st is a listing of Walmarts and the 2nd is a listing of Walmarts that do not allow overnight parking. Sorry they are both aboard the coach but I bought them with my Woodalls.
We will be back aboard in a couple of weeks and can give an update then.

PS I will save the $1,150,00.00 on a newer rig so we can stay at an RV Resort!

Yeah it's a good idea to have those books or a list of them printed off. There was some talk about it here on the forum http://www.newellclassic.com/forum/full-timing-your-newell/2429-walmart-parking-lots-2.html there is a link in that thread to a list of walmarts that do not allow parking overnight.

I hope they didn't jack up his coach when they towed it. Because that would have ended up being an even larger mistake! :moneymouth:
