Clean, wax and polish
I've read multiple threads on here about cleaning, polishing Newells. Seems that meguires clean and wax appears the most recommended to use. There didn't seem to be much discussion of the best way to polish in regards to done by hand, or utilize a mechanical polisher. The paint for the most part is in good shape, except for some rock chips on the front and a couple of minor scratches on other locations. I don't want to damage or "burn" the paint, and certainly don't want to remove rivets. Can a mechanical buffer be used, if so, does it matter if it's electrical or air driven, and is there an rpm limit in regards to overheating?
1st things 1st before I start on redoing the dash.
John

I prefer to do this by hand only. I used Meguiar's Cleaner/Polish for the first few times and now have moved onto their Yellow Wax to get a better shine.
Our Coach is an '82 and the paint they used was much better that what we can get today. That is the reason that I don't want to use harsh polishing compounds and the Rivets will absolutely show if the paint gets worn.

Steve, thanks for the info, I was hoping you would reply, by hand it shall be. I do want to keep the paint looking good and make sure I don't damage it.

John,
I go to Walmart or Target and buy inexpensive but soft bundles of washcloths, I found these to be a good size and don't bother cleaning them. I usually only do a section at a time and only an hour or two gets this done. After a week the coach looks great and then it rains.
