my homemade root beer machines
hi all
i have made root beer for years and make it for large and small parties. every halloween my wife and i make 40 gallons to give away. as you can see from the machines that are on the cart, they are quite large and not easily portable. they are my 3rd generation design and i made them a number of years ago. i wanted to make a small one so i made it this week. the big ones make 12 gallons between them at a time. the small one is 3 gallons.
6" pvc and copper plumbing and abs cam-lock quick disconnects and pressure gauge and pressure regulators.
they are a lot of fun and i have made hundreds of gallons of rootbeer in them.
i will bring the small one to our ralley in texas next week.
thought you all might get a kick out of them.
tom

Very nice Tom. Do you make it carbonated or non-carbonated Root beer? I say wheres the pizza?
Once upon a time I made some non-carbonated root beer with those little packets you could get in the grocery store. It was ok, but not what I was hoping for.

i mix up my own brew and then use dry ice in these rigs to carbonate it. no yeast.
i can carbonate it in less than an hour.
they are great conversation pieces no matter what.

Very interesting! I gather the pic in the middle is your new traveling buddy? lol. I would liked to have one of those contraptions myself. What a great way to entertain.
