Roger S. Penske is the owner of the automobile racing team Penske Racing. There are pictures of the 1986 Newell coach that he owned over at NewellShowcase.com but I've linked them here.

I read a qoute some place that Karl Blade stated - Roger Penske owns a 600,000-mile Newell!

Shows us how well a Newell is built, right?!

This 1986 was for sale a while ago, may even still be now. So I don't think this was the one Karl Blade was talking about. I'm sure Penske has owned several Newells!

This coach was obviously way ahead of its time. That is amazing the Newell Coach factory was willing to build something that custom in 1986. I would like to own it now.

I have seen this coach many times at the Walter Mitty at Road Atlanta HSR event each April for several years,I did not see it this year there and I know that it was for sale and it might have sold.The owner told me a few years ago that it was just like Penske ordered it.

I'd like to trade my coach for it. It really is a unique Newell. I wonder why Newell didn't build others like it?

Penske still has the coach, at least he had it at Mid-Ohio in July!

Larry is that supposed to be the same coach? It looks like a later 1990's something raise roof Newell I think but then again I am not up on those years.

It's at least a 2000 model or newer.

You are absolutely correct. I remember seeing the older version in previous years. This is not the same one, I was mistaken. Does anyone know if Newell does the final product or does Penske?

They should have used the earlier version in a Batman movie with those stealthy fender skirts and other styling cues.

I too would like to know the year and if Newell did the design build or Penske team people did mods. Heck, the way the 1986 above looks with its changes how can a person tell the year of any of Penske Newell Coaches?

Is this a second or third coach of Penske? I believe we may need the factory's help knowledge here.

Not the same coach both are cool! Thanks for sharing the photo Larry. Ken that would be a sick idea. I wonder if any Newell Coaches have been in movies?
