Default house batteries draining overnight

hello all. the house battery is seemingly draining overnight in our classic newell. does anyone have ideas about where we should start looking to find the problem? hoping it is something we can figure out for ourselves and isn't a big issue.

thanks,

Cliff

Take an amp meter and put it on the positive cable after shutting off everything and see if there is any draw if so does it amount to anything significant enough to take the batteries down overnight. Do you know the age of the batteries? Are they agm, gel of flooded? Is it really cold where you are?

Here are some questions I'd be asking myself:

What is your battery draw overnight (i.e.. what's running?) vs. what is your usable battery capacity?

Do you have parasitic loads that might be draining it down?

Are you leaving your inverter on overnight, which has an overhead draw?

How old are you batteries.. and what type are they?

Have you maintained them (if flooded wet cells: topped off the distilled water, done equalizing charges)?
