Default Chief White House Calligrapher Gets Paid $96,725 Per Year!

[h=5]You have GOT to be kidding me.......[/h]
In all, the White House appears to employ 3 calligraphers for a yearly total of $277,050.

Despite sequestration, there's been no announcement of the White House scaling back on calligraphers.

Seriously?

I was going to ask how much could there be that needs to be written in calligraphy?! I googled it and found this -

Calligraphers are needed for the preparation of invitations, placards, citations and White House awards, created by hand, according to the White House.

I still don't see how that can justify that kind of earning?

What another big waste of tax payer dollars at work. Thanks "O"! I know he's just helping some buddies out. Why don't they just use a computer and accomplish the same thing for $12.00 an hour! Hello!
