Assuming you are talking about paper maps, we like the Benchmark State Atlases. In fact, we have all the ones they publish (for only the western states currently). In addition, we use a Rand McNally U.S. Atlas. You can buy the Benchmark Atlases at their website, www.benchmarkmaps.com For the Rand McNally maps truck stops are a good place to buy.

Agree with purchasing benchmark state atlases. You might also try Delorme TOPO software or Microsoft streets and maps.

We mostly use mapping programs on the computer but we also have a trucker's atlas purchased at Flying-J. It is large and easy to read, the pages are laminated so it holds up well, and truck routes are highlighted. I figure that we will not run into any surprises road-wise on a truck route.

Its always good to have a paper map on board too. Try a truck stop.
