Late model 73 Newell for sale

I stumbled across this 73 Newell on craigslist in Kansas. For those who like the classic body style with some new style looks and the upgraded powertrain.

I spoke with Jeff the owner of this fine classic this morning, has has done EXTENSIVE work to this beautiful machine. If someone out there is looking for a turn key totally redone and upgraded classic Newell I would be all over this one!! It has 30k miles on a brand new 8.3 inline 6 cummins, all new brakes and suspension, the genny was upgraded to a later model 12k onan quiet diesel, the outside was all re-skinned and painted with emron paint and new stainless. The bays and doors were also all redone, new upholstery etc. etc.. the list goes on!!

I sent the link off to a friend that's looking for a coach.

If you do the math, that's a great deal (if the work was done well). Figure 230k miles on a coach that was built for a million miles plus that it has all new running gear. What kind of used motorhome can you find for $38k that has 770k miles left? I'm guessing it probably gets somewhere around 12 mpg maybe better. My old '73 got 12 mpg with a Cat 1160, and mine had a 6.5kw gas Onan generator too.

Wowzer! Being ex-newell owners of a 2000 series which we absolutely loved traveling the states in but always loved these classics. I really like the refined look without the front bumper too!
