Happy New Year 2009
Wishing all my friends at NewellClassic.com a wonderful 2009. A special thanks to Clarke and Elaine who spent New Years Eve with Georgia and I.
May 2009 be a year of excitement, happiness and fulfillment for each of you and may we continue to learn from each other.

Amen,
Rhonda and I started laying out our summer trip today, so the excitement for a little land cruise has already started here.
We'll hope for some moderation in the economy, and a big up tick in world peace.
Let's wish that we make as many good friends in 2009 as we did in 2008.

Ditto, Mike & Georgia, from Elaine and I....enjoyed our evening together immensely. Looking forward to meeting many more Newell owners in 2009, and making just as many new friends! Be safe in your travels, and continue to enjoy the Newell lifestyle!
Weather here in Newport Beach is heavy overcast, and temps in the 50's. Took a bike ride with Elaine earlier, and am now watching USC wrap up another Rose Bowl in grand fashion!

Karen & I would like to wish everyone a happy and properous new year.
We look forward to meeting many of you at the mini rally in April in Austin @ LaHacienda RV Resort.
Drive carefully and take your time; the ride is the best part of the journey.

OK, Richard.....I thought by now you would have given us a hint of where your summer trip will take you.....
Elaine and I rode down the coast from Newport Beach to Dana Point and back today...I think the distance was a little further than Elaine was up for, but she is a trooper and did great on the 33 mile round trip ride....we rode singles today....the temps were arond 52 most of the day, with heavy overcast....my favorite riding weather!
We stopped at Pavillons on our return trip (upscale Vons Supermarket) and got some fried chicken for dinner, and are now sitting here watching the Sugar Bowl, sipping a little 2005 Syrah, and listening to Frank Sinatra on XM Radio(the TV is on mute...the best way to watch football...LOL!).

My social director is working the details, but here is the essence. Three weeks. First stop is Guadaloupe Peak and Carlsbad Caverns. Guadaloupe is the highest peak in Texas. Then on to Alberquerque via Roswell to see if we spot any aliens. Alb to Flagstaff for a couple of days. Then to Vegas for a couple of days. Zion for three or four, then Bryce, over to Durango and the Four Corners area, and two days to drive home.
I was trying to sneak in the North Rim of the Grand Canyon for a rim to rim blitz, but apparently you can't get a bus out the east side of Zion because of a tunnel.
So chime in if you have any favorite camping spots in the those areas, or must sees, or don't do's.
